An overview of Evidence
Accepted ID Documents
To complete your identity verification with Elemental Verify, you’ll need one of the following documents. You’ll be asked to select your ID type during the journey so that the correct checks can be performed.
- Biometric Passport (any country)
– Can be up to 6 months expired. You can usually identify a biometric passport by the ePassport symbol on the cover (
). - Non-Biometric Passport (any country)
– Can be up to 6 months expired. - A UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and EU photocard driving licence (full or provisional)
- An identity card with biometric information from the EU, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein
- A UK biometric residence permit (BRP) – these can be up to 18 months expired
- A UK biometric residence card (BRC)
- A UK Frontier Worker permit
Additional Information and Other Evidence
- You will usually only need one form of ID to verify your identity. However, you may need additional documents if you live overseas, have moved recently, or have ever changed your name. Find out more here.
- You will not need to send your ID anywhere. You will need to take a photo of your ID and yourself using a mobile device.
