In the UK, all companies are required to comply with the provisions of the Companies Act 2006 and, for certain companies, other rules such as the Listing and Disclosure Rules, the AIM Rules, the UK Corporate Governance Code or the QCA Code.
All directors and the company secretary (if appointed) must take reasonable steps to ensure that the business of the company for which they are responsible for, complies with the relevant requirements and standards of the regulatory system. Company secretarial services are a delivery of legal and compliance services to support companies and their Board of directors with the management of the companies they are custodians of. The services encompass several administrative tasks to ensure that the company and its board of directors are supported, whilst ensuring compliance with all legal requirements in the jurisdiction of the company’s incorporation and business operations.
